About Us

Located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Burbank, Milano Café & Deli offers casual and delicious award winning Italian, and American cuisine. Voted Burbank's BEST ITALIAN CUISINE, BEST BURGER AND BEST CATERING IN 2022 we are now also offering a broader selection of Pizza for pickup or delivery.

Founders, Adelaide & Mike, started Milano Café & Deli out of their love for food and their cultures. Adelaide is French/Brazilian and Mike is Italian/American.

Adelaide and Mike created Milano Café & Deli so that you can safely enjoy a meal and socialize in a bright, warm environment like their families did in Italy, France, Brazil and small town America.

Pizza

Milano always offered house-made pizza but it was buried in the diverse menu. Once discovered it was in demand and thus a separate website was created to feature Pizza and other Italian options for takeout and delivery.

Italian Bistro/Restaurant

As the pandemic subsided and people began to return to restaurants, Milano obtained its Wine & Beer License and the Cafe & Deli was expanded into a full service restaurant adding adding fresh, house-made pastas with table service, china and tableware as well as a Wine Bar.

Having obtained our Wine & Beer license provided the opportunity to take advantage of Adelaide's French background along with a sophisticated palate as well as her experience having owned a Wine Bar and Wine & Liquor Store in San Francisco. We offer a carefully curated selection of conventional, organic and biodynamic wines along with a selection of bottled craft and international beers.

Deli

Our full service deli offers gourmet cheeses, charcuterie, and prepared foods made in-house using the highest quality products such as Mary's Chicken, house ground Angus beef burgers, wild caught fish, roasted turkey breasts, Angus top round for our roast beef, lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, ricotta stuffed shells, fresh salads and more!

Café

We are a craft coffee and tea café offering our own house brand of fresh, locally roasted coffee and a high quality artisan tea. Our Milano espresso blend is medium bodied, smooth, and aromatic, perfectly balanced with notes of caramel, chocolate and sweet fruit much like the coffees of Italy.

Bakery

Stop in for a enjoy baked goods that derive from European recipes many using French butter.

Market

We offer a carefully curated selection of high quality specialty foods and beverages imported from Italy, France, Brazil and Spain as well as a selection of the American basics. Browse through our imported artisanal jams, honeys, mustards, olive oils, vinegars, olives and candies. Our unique selection wines along with a selection of bottled craft and international beers are also sold retail.

With 30 years experience in fine restaurants including "The Rex", Drago and Il Pillachi we were fortunate to snag Chef Juan Carlos when the Drago at the Peterson Auto Museum closed during the pandemic. He has brought the taste of Italy directly to Burbank adding his own sense of quality and presentation.
